Hugh was born in Glasgow, Scotland but moved to Canada in 1967 with his wife, Lyn and first son David. His second son Lain was born here. Hugh and Lyn now live in Ottawa. It's been more than a decade that Hugh became a freelance writer and editor, although he started writing much before taking it up as a full-time freelancer. Biff Mitchell

Biff first two published novels: the world’s first laundromance is titled Heavy Load, and his second which is a spoof on the IT industry is titled Team Player. His third novel, which is a set around 200 years in the future, is a satirical novel on the corporate world and the Internet. His fourth is set in Saint John, New Brunswick 75 years in the future. This one is another spoof and it's on the fast food industry. Biff's book of short stories, Clearings is available for free download on his website.

Rene Natan (aka Irene Gargantini)

Rene Natan is the pen name of Irene Gargantini. She lives in Strathroy, Ontario with her husband, Martin. During her childhood, she spent countless hours listening to stories from her grandmother. Now she takes her readers into the amazing world of fiction. Her notable works in romantic suspense genre include Mountains of Dawn (1999), Cross of Sapphires (2002), and The Collage (2003). She has also written a suspense short story for teenagers, Killing on Mount Yula (2003). A pair of Wings for Christmas (2003) is a sci-fi short story.
